What Makes Me a Smart Woman?

(Please Note: Even if you don’t believe in God, neuroplasticity and neuroplastic pain is scientifically proven and you will still find this fascinating.)

A “smart” or wise woman is defined by her spiritual discernment, moral character and devotion to God. The Bible emphasizes that true intelligence and beauty come from within, prioritizing a faithful heart and a gentle spirit over worldly achievements or physical appearance. Throughout my life, I have been through an extensive list of life-changing events that have actively led me to seek His truth to guide my decisions, words and relationships. He has gifted me with the ability to see past what man says, and to focus on what He says. With this knowledge and my own personal recovery story, I am here to serve – to help you by sharing the wisdom and knowledge that I have obtained from my own short-comings and life experiences.

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

~ Romans 12:2

This scripture has immense meaning, but the way I see it, the renewal of our minds in a world shaped by man, is the only key to transformation. Continually renewing our minds by changing the way we think allows us to be discerning and to align ourselves with God’s perfect will. Across the many translations of the scripture, the core message remains the same: stop letting the culture of society shape your thoughts, and let God change your perspective.

What exactly does this mean for someone suffering with chronic pain?

Understand that the mind is a battlefield; changing how you think can absolutely reshape your very being. “Do not be conformed to this world” Don’t let society press you into its mold. It’s a warning against complying to worldly standards, which are often driven by selfishness, pride and materialism. When it comes to the medical system, we are strongly tied to relying on the word of medical professionals and we can forget to think for ourselves – we become innocent victims to labels and diagnoses that keep us trapped in a medicalized world.

The world’s thought patterns do not need to become your thought patterns.

“But be transformed by the renewing of your mind” Real transformation starts from the inside. A person’s thought patterns, desires, and perspectives can be completely reshaped by God’s word. We fail to understand that perhaps it’s possible that by changing the way we think about our pain, we can actually be transformed by changing our perspective and open the door to true healing and transformation.

So what does this all mean?

It means that by being open to becoming educated and learning about how the brain is 100% responsible for ALL pain, we can use this new knowledge to reshape how our minds enter the battlefield. It means going against the grain of the medical system, which implies that all pain has structural origins. It means being open to understanding a new perspective that revolves around how our emotions, what we were taught as children and how our brain perceives pain as dangerous is the key to unlocking years of chronic discomfort and pain. I will educate you on how this is all possible.

God has wired our brains for healing through neuroplasticity. Being pain free IS possible.

Learn About Neuroplastic Pain

Neuroplastic pain occurs when the brain mistakes safe nerve signals from the body as dangerous, generating pain.

The same ache. The same intensity. The same spot. But not always the same cause.

Structural pain comes from tissue damage: an injury, inflammation, something physically wrong. Neuroplastic pain comes from a brain that learned to sound the alarm even after the danger has passed. And often, it’s not one or the other. Many people have mixed pain, a real structural component that gets amplified by a nervous system stuck in overprotection mode.

That’s why the same sensation can call for different approaches, sometimes medical treatment, sometimes nervous system work, often both at once. @painreprocessingtherapy

What is Neuroplastic Pain?

Let the truth be told…

Recent studies have shown that chronic back pain, neck pain, fibromyalgia symptoms, repetitive strain injury, headaches, and other forms of chronic pain are often not the result of structural causes, but of psychophysiologic processes that can be reversed. This is known as neuroplastic pain.

Neuroplastic pain often begins with acute injury and nociception. Emotional responses, such as fear, anxiety, and vigilance, are adaptive in the acute setting but may persist after tissue healing and become maladaptive. Through associative learning, fear and anxiety can become subconsciously linked with pain, creating a self-reinforcing loop, “neurons that fire together wire together”
